Death on the Nile is being adapted into a film that is due out in the cinemas in February 2022, following the success of the 2017 adaptation of Murder on the Orient Express. Previous adaptations of Death on the Nile include the 1978 feature film and the first radio adaptation based on the book in 1997.
Based on Agatha Christie’s 1937 novel of the same name, Death on the Nile is Branagh’s second film recreation of Christie’s celebrated novels. Death on the Nile reunites the team behind Branagh’s first adaptation of Christie’s beloved story, Murder on the Orient Express, which also featured big names in the film industry, such as Johnny Depp and Dame Judi Dench.
So this movie definitely piqued my interest. Now I’m a fan of some book-to-screen adaptations, but not many, so I’m a harsh critique on these types of movies.
